Tesla Model 3 Y Under-Screen ETC Storage Box in Black ABS Plastic

This practical accessory is engineered to address a common storage gap in Tesla Model 3 and Model Y vehicles: the unused space directly beneath the large centre console touchscreen. By fitting snugly into this area, the storage box creates a dedicated, accessible compartment for small items that drivers need regularly, such as Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) cards, parking tickets, or loose change. Its installation is straightforward, requiring no tools or modifications, and it helps maintain a clutter-free and organised cabin environment. Supplied in a black colour to blend with most interior trims and made from durable ABS plastic, it is a simple yet functional addition designed specifically for these popular electric vehicle models.

Features and Construction

This product is defined by its precise fit and practical material choice, focusing on utility over complexity.

Material and Build

The storage box is constructed from ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) plastic. This thermoplastic polymer is widely used in automotive applications due to its good impact resistance, stiffness, and ability to retain its shape. For an interior accessory like this, ABS provides a robust shell that can withstand daily use and the temperature variations inside a vehicle without becoming brittle or deforming. The material's properties contribute to the product's structural integrity, ensuring the compartment holds its form under light load.

Size and Practical Fit

Designed as a 'plug-and-play' accessory, the storage box is made to the exact contours of the under-screen space in both the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y. This ensures a secure, rattle-free fit that appears integrated with the vehicle's original interior design. Its primary function is to organise small, flat items—most notably an ETC card—that are often misplaced in larger console bins or cupholders. By providing a dedicated slot, it reduces fumbling while driving and helps keep the centre console area tidy.

Uses and Placement

The product's utility centres on solving specific organisational challenges within the vehicle's cabin.

Event or Professional Use

For professional drivers, rideshare operators, or anyone who frequently uses toll roads, having an ETC card permanently stationed and instantly accessible is a significant convenience. This storage box provides that fixed, visible location, eliminating the need to search through wallets or door pockets. It can also securely hold a couple of business cards, a fuel card, or a dedicated parking access fob, keeping essential work items separate from personal belongings.

Everyday Home Use

For everyday drivers and families, the box offers a neat solution for cabin clutter. It's an ideal spot for storing toll tickets, car park validation tickets, drive-through receipts, or a small amount of change for parking meters. By occupying otherwise wasted space, it adds storage without encroaching on the passenger area or cupholders. The included napkin paper box adds further value, providing a designated holder for napkins or tissues within the centre console, contributing to overall cabin tidiness.

Benefits and Buying Value

The value of this accessory lies in its simplicity, specific fit, and the practical problem it solves.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

As a passive storage unit, the product requires virtually no maintenance. The ABS plastic surface is easy to clean with a damp cloth if needed. Its design and construction suggest it will last for the lifetime of the vehicle, offering a one-time solution to an ongoing organisational need. The storage compartment can be repurposed as needed, holding different items as driving habits change.

Why Choose This Product

This storage box stands out because it is designed for a very specific application: the under-screen space in Tesla Model 3 and Model Y vehicles. Unlike generic organisers, it offers a custom-fit solution that looks intentional and OEM-like. The use of automotive-grade ABS plastic indicates attention to material suitability for the car environment. When compared to leaving the space empty or using makeshift solutions, this product provides a dedicated, secure, and tidy storage point for essential small items, enhancing the functionality of the vehicle's interior layout.
