Reflective chest strap vest harness and lead set for small dogs in carrot, strawberry, or avocado

This dog walking set combines a vest-style chest strap harness with an attached hand-held lead, designed specifically for the control and safety of small breeds. The harness's reflective elements are a key feature for evening or early morning walks, improving your dog's visibility to others. Made from durable polyester, the set is available in three distinct colour options—carrot, strawberry, and avocado—and is sized to fit a range of small dogs through its XS, S, M, and L options. It addresses the practical need for a secure, non-restrictive harness that gives the walker clear, direct control.

Features and Construction

The product's design centres on a vest-style harness that secures around the dog's chest and torso, distributing pressure more evenly than a simple collar. Its construction from polyester fabric provides a balance of strength and ease of cleaning, which is essential for an item used outdoors. The inclusion of a reflective chest strap is a deliberate safety feature for low-light conditions.

Material and Build

The harness is constructed from polyester, a material selected for its resilience and ability to withstand regular outdoor use. This synthetic fabric is typically washable, allowing for easy cleaning after muddy walks. The build focuses on secure fastenings and stitching to create a vest-style shape that wraps around the dog's body, offering a stable anchor point for the lead.

Size and Practical Fit

To ensure a proper and comfortable fit for various small breeds, the harness is offered in four specific sizes: XS, S, M, and L. It is crucial to measure your dog's chest and girth accurately before selecting a size. A correctly fitted vest harness should be snug enough not to slip off but loose enough to allow free movement and not chafe the skin.

Uses and Placement

This set is designed for the primary activity of walking a dog, providing both the harness for the dog and the lead for the handler. The vest-style design is particularly suited for small dogs, as it offers control without putting excessive pressure on the neck and trachea. Its reflective properties make it suitable for use in dim light, such as during winter afternoons or early mornings.

Event or Professional Use

While ideal for daily neighbourhood walks, the high-visibility reflective strap also makes this harness suitable for organised group walks or events where multiple dogs and people are present. The clear colour differentiation—carrot, strawberry, avocado—can help easily identify your dog in a crowd. The secure chest-strap design provides reliable control in busy or unfamiliar environments.

Everyday Home Use

For routine use, the set offers a straightforward solution for taking your small dog out into the garden, on local paths, or for short trips to pet-friendly shops. The included lead means you have everything needed for a walk ready to go. The polyester material is practical for everyday use as it can be quickly wiped down if it gets dirty.

Benefits and Buying Value

The value of this product lies in providing two essential items—a harness and a lead—in one purchase, designed to work together effectively. The reflective feature addresses a specific safety concern without requiring an additional accessory. The choice of sizes and colours allows for personalisation based on your dog's measurements and your visual preference.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

As a durable item made from polyester, the harness is built for repeated use over many walks. Its low-maintenance nature means it can be cleaned with a damp cloth, and the material is resistant to typical wear from outdoor conditions. This practicality supports long-term use as part of your regular dog-walking routine.

Why Choose This Product

This set is a considered choice for small dog owners who prioritise secure control and safety during walks. The vest-style harness with a chest strap offers a more secure and comfortable alternative to a neck collar. The inclusion of the reflective element is a direct, functional benefit for any walking done in less-than-ideal light, providing peace of mind through increased visibility.
