Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Game Controller Grip with Hand Rope, 2 Sets of Black, Blue Red, Blue Green Silicone AVS Handle Covers for Boxing Games, 8 x 1.5 x 13.7 cm Accessories for Secure Play
Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Boxing Game Handle Grips with Integrated Hand Rope Security
For Nintendo Switch enthusiasts who enjoy physically active boxing games, maintaining a secure grip on your Joy-Con controllers becomes essential. These specialised handle grips address the common issue of controllers slipping during vigorous swinging motions. Crafted from flexible AVS silicone, each grip moulds comfortably to your hand's shape while the integrated hand rope provides an additional layer of security. The two-piece set ensures both Joy-Cons receive equal protection and improved handling, making your gaming sessions both safer and more comfortable, particularly for titles that require repeated arm movements.
Features and Construction
These gaming accessories combine practical security features with ergonomic design considerations. The construction focuses on enhancing your existing Joy-Con controllers rather than replacing them, offering a straightforward upgrade to your gaming setup.
Material and Build
The grips utilise AVS silicone as their primary construction material, chosen for its flexible properties that allow the grips to conform to individual hand shapes. This material provides a non-slip surface that becomes particularly valuable during the sweaty palm moments of intense gaming sessions. The hand rope integrates directly into the grip structure, connecting securely into the Joy-Con's existing handle slot without requiring additional adhesives or complicated installation. This connection method maintains the controller's original functionality while adding the safety feature.
Size and Practical Fit
Measuring at 8cm in length, 1.5cm in width, and 13.7cm in height, these grips add minimal bulk to your Joy-Con controllers. The dimensions ensure they don't interfere with docking your Switch or storing the controllers in standard carrying cases. At 34g bare weight per grip, they add negligible mass that won't cause wrist fatigue during extended play. The slim profile maintains the Joy-Con's signature compact form factor while providing the extra security needed for motion-controlled games.
Uses and Placement
These accessories serve specific gaming scenarios where controller security becomes paramount. Their design addresses particular use cases while remaining versatile enough for everyday gaming comfort.
Event or Professional Use
During gaming events, tournaments, or streaming sessions where controller drops could interrupt gameplay or damage equipment, these grips provide essential insurance. The hand rope connection prevents accidental launches during enthusiastic reactions to game events. For boxing game tournaments or fitness gaming challenges where participants might have varying grip strengths, the consistent security offered by these grips levels the playing field. Their neutral black, blue green, or blue red colour options maintain a professional appearance suitable for public gaming setups.
Everyday Home Use
In home gaming environments, these grips protect your investment in Joy-Con controllers from accidental drops during energetic gameplay. Family gaming sessions become less stressful when younger players have the security of the hand rope attachment. The lightweight design means you can leave the grips attached during all types of gameplay without compromising comfort for non-boxing titles. Their simple slot-in connection makes them easy to attach and remove as needed, adapting to your changing gaming preferences throughout the day.
Benefits and Buying Value
This product offers specific advantages that address practical concerns in active gaming scenarios. The value proposition centres around protection, comfort, and specialised functionality.
Reuse and Low Maintenance
The durable AVS silicone construction withstands repeated use without degrading, maintaining its grippy texture and flexible properties through multiple gaming sessions. Since the grips don't use adhesives or permanent modifications, you can transfer them between different Joy-Con controllers if needed. Basic cleaning with a damp cloth keeps them hygienic for shared gaming setups. Their non-electronic nature means there are no batteries to replace or complex components that might fail over time.
Why Choose This Product
These grips fill a specific niche in the gaming accessory market by addressing the particular security needs of boxing and motion-controlled games. Unlike universal grips that might not integrate properly with Joy-Con controllers, these are designed specifically for Nintendo's hardware. The inclusion of two grips in the pack ensures both hands receive equal enhancement, unlike single-grip solutions that might create imbalance. For players who have experienced near-misses with flying controllers or simply want added peace of mind during active gameplay, this specialised solution offers targeted functionality that general-purpose accessories might lack.
