87-key wired mechanical keyboard with thirty colour options and hot-swappable switch sockets
This tenkeyless mechanical keyboard combines a practical compact form with extensive customisation possibilities. Its core feature is a hot-swappable socket design that lets you change mechanical switches quickly, without needing soldering equipment or technical expertise. The keyboard features an 87-key layout that omits the number pad to save valuable desk space, while keeping all letter, number, function, and navigation keys intact for both gaming and general computer use. With thirty different two-colour combinations available, you can select a design that complements your existing setup or expresses your personal preference.
Features and Construction
The keyboard's construction focuses on durability and user-led customisation. Its metal housing forms a solid, stable platform that reduces flex during typing or gaming sessions. The hot-swappable feature is the central functional benefit, designed for users who want to experiment with different switch types or replace worn switches easily.
Material and Build
The keyboard uses a metal chassis as its primary structural component. This material choice contributes to the keyboard's overall weight and stability, preventing it from sliding during intense use. The housing encases the PCB (printed circuit board) and switch sockets, with the hot-swappable mechanisms installed directly onto this board. This construction allows for the simple removal and insertion of compatible mechanical switches using the included puller tool.
Size and Practical Fit
With dimensions of 41cm in width, 19cm in depth, and 6cm in height, the keyboard occupies a modest footprint on a desk or gaming surface. The 87-key tenkeyless layout is a popular choice for users who require more mouse movement space or have limited desk area. A 1.6 metre USB cable provides enough length to route the connection comfortably from the keyboard to a desktop PC or laptop dock, offering reliable wired connectivity without signal interference.
Uses and Placement
This keyboard is designed for both dedicated gaming sessions and daily productivity tasks. Its universal compatibility means it works with standard Windows PCs and other devices that accept USB keyboard input. The variety of colour schemes allows it to fit into different environments, from a professional home office to a vibrant gaming station.
Event or Professional Use
For gaming events or LAN parties, the keyboard's compact size makes it easy to transport and set up quickly. The hot-swappable feature is particularly useful for competitive gamers who may prefer different switch actuation points or feedback types for various game genres. The solid metal construction can withstand the rigours of travel and frequent setup changes, while the simple wired connection ensures compatibility with any available PC.
Everyday Home Use
In a home office or study, the keyboard provides a tactile typing experience for long writing or coding sessions. The tenkeyless layout frees up space for notebooks, a mouse, or other peripherals on a smaller desk. Users can select one of the thirty colour combinations—ranging from bold contrasts like black with orange and yellow accents to more subdued schemes like white with grey and yellow—to create a cohesive workspace aesthetic. The included cleaning brush helps maintain the keyboard's appearance over regular use.
Benefits and Buying Value
The keyboard offers value through its adaptability and inclusive accessory package. Unlike fixed-switch keyboards, its hot-swappable design extends its potential lifespan, as individual switches can be replaced if they wear out or if user preferences change. The package includes all tools necessary for basic customisation and upkeep.
Reuse and Low Maintenance
The hot-swappable socket system is the primary feature supporting reuse and longevity. If a single switch becomes faulty or if you wish to try a different switch type (such as linear, tactile, or clicky), you can swap them individually without replacing the entire keyboard. The included keycap puller, switch puller, and spare switch provide the essentials for these modifications. The cleaning brush assists with regular maintenance to keep keycaps and the housing surface free from dust and debris.
Why Choose This Product
This keyboard is a practical choice for users seeking a balance between a compact form factor and high customisability. The thirty colour options provide a level of personalisation rarely found in standard keyboards, allowing precise matching to decor or personal taste. The metal construction offers a stable, premium feel at its price point, while the hot-swap capability future-proofs your investment by letting you adapt the typing experience as new switch technologies emerge or your needs evolve. It arrives as a complete kit, with all tools needed to install, modify, and maintain it from day one.
