Round Fruit Sisal Cat Scratching Board and Bed for Small Breed Cats Measuring 390x390x100mm

This round, fruit-themed cat scratching board serves a dual purpose in homes with limited space, providing a dedicated surface for your cat's natural scratching instincts while also offering a comfortable sleeping area. Designed specifically for small breed cats, its compact 390mm diameter and 100mm height make it a practical choice for indoor use, helping to protect furniture and curtains by providing an appealing alternative. The board is constructed from wear-resistant sisal, a material chosen for its texture and durability during scratching sessions, and features a central indentation that accommodates a cat's curled-up sleeping position.

Features and Construction

This product combines a scratching surface and a resting area in one unit, using specific materials and dimensions to suit smaller living spaces and cats.

Material and Build

The scratching board is made from high-quality sisal material, which provides a textured surface suitable for a cat's scratching behaviour. Sisal is noted for its wear-resistant properties, though no specific lifespan data is provided. The construction integrates this sisal into a round, fruit-shaped design that is finished in a yellow colour.

Size and Practical Fit

The board measures 390mm in diameter and 100mm in height, a compact size that is recommended for small breed cats. Its dimensions make it space-saving compared to larger, traditional scratching posts, and it is intended solely for indoor use within a home environment.

Uses and Placement

This product addresses common feline behaviours by providing a multifunctional item that can be placed in various indoor locations.

Event or Professional Use

While primarily designed for home use, the board's durable sisal construction and dual-function design could make it suitable for settings like small catteries or pet-friendly temporary accommodations where space is limited and basic scratching and resting facilities are needed.

Everyday Home Use

In a typical home, the board can be placed in living areas, bedrooms, or near windows where cats often scratch or nap. Its primary function is to redirect scratching away from furniture and onto the sisal surface, while the concave centre provides a secure spot for sleeping, meeting the cat's habit of curling up.

Benefits and Buying Value

The value of this product lies in its practicality, space efficiency, and focus on supporting natural cat behaviour.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

The board is a single, durable unit with no moving parts or complex assembly, suggesting straightforward long-term use. Maintenance involves simply placing it in a suitable location; no specific cleaning or upkeep instructions are provided beyond its material-based design for scratching.

Why Choose This Product

This scratching board is chosen for its combination of a sisal scratching surface and integrated sleeping bed in one compact, round design. It is particularly relevant for owners of small breed cats living in flats or houses with limited space, offering a practical solution to protect furniture while catering to a cat's natural instincts for scratching and resting.
