i8X Wireless Keypad with Touchpad and Mouse Buttons in Black
The i8X wireless keypad is a palm-sized input device that combines a QWERTY keyboard, a larger touchpad, and dual mouse left and right buttons in one unit. It is designed for use with desktop, notebook, car TV, HTPC, large screen TV, smart TV, hard disk player, network player, and X-BOX. The source describes it as a new generation of smart wireless keyboard touchpad that integrates the full functions of keyboard and mouse. It is positioned as a choice for home entertainment and HTPC control. The keypad has up to 71 keys, an ergonomic shape, multi-finger touch support, two adjustable mouse speeds, and an innovative full-screen scrolling function. It is black and uses environmentally friendly materials with a lead-free process in line with ROHS. Power can be supplied by either a dry battery or a lithium battery, and the body comes with a lithium battery. The battery can be selected freely and is continuously charged. No dimensions, weight, wireless range, or battery life figures are stated in the source text.
Features and Construction
The i8X is built around a compact keyboard-and-touchpad layout. Its main construction points are the QWERTY key set, the larger trackpad, the dual mouse buttons, and the flexible battery arrangement. These features are intended to reduce the need for separate peripherals when controlling a home entertainment system or computer from a distance.
Material and Build
The source states that the i8X uses environmentally friendly materials and a lead-free process in line with ROHS. It has an ergonomic design and a palm-sized shape. The keyboard section is a QWERTY layout with up to 71 keys. A larger trackpad is fitted, along with independent left and right mouse buttons. Multi-finger touch is supported. Hot keys are included for smoother operation. The unit is black. No further material composition or build details are given.
Size and Practical Fit
The keypad is described as palm-sized and portable. It is intended to sit comfortably in the hand or on a small surface while controlling a larger screen. Because no dimensions or weight are provided in the source text, the practical fit can only be described as compact and hand-held. The larger touchpad and dual mouse buttons are positioned for thumb or finger operation. The full-screen scrolling function is designed to help move through long pages or menus. Two mouse speeds are available for adjusting cursor movement.
Uses and Placement
The i8X is intended for a range of devices, including desktop, notebook, car TV, HTPC, large screen TV, smart TV, hard disk player, network player, and X-BOX. It can be used in home entertainment setups, professional presentations, or everyday computer control. Its wireless connection uses the supplied USB adapter.
Event or Professional Use
For events, presentations, or professional media setups, the i8X can be used to control a connected computer, HTPC, or large screen TV from a distance. The QWERTY keyboard allows text entry for searches or file names, while the touchpad and dual mouse buttons handle cursor movement and clicking. The full-screen scrolling function can help move through slides or long documents. The hot keys provide quicker access to common commands. The source does not specify a wireless range, so the working distance is not stated.
Everyday Home Use
In the home, the i8X can be used with a smart TV, network player, hard disk player, or X-BOX. It allows typing in search boxes, navigating streaming menus, and controlling media playback without a separate keyboard and mouse. The touchpad supports multi-finger touch, and the dual mouse buttons provide left and right clicking. The palm-sized shape makes it easy to pick up and use from a sofa or chair. The two adjustable mouse speeds let the user choose a slower or faster cursor response.
Benefits and Buying Value
The main buying value of the i8X is its combination of keyboard, touchpad, and mouse buttons in one wireless unit. It reduces the number of separate devices needed for controlling a compatible screen or computer. The flexible battery options and the included lithium battery add convenience, while the stated ROHS-compliant lead-free process addresses material compliance.
Reuse and Low Maintenance
The i8X can be powered by either a dry battery or a lithium battery, and the source states that the battery can be selected freely and is continuously charged. This means the user is not locked into a single battery type. The included lithium battery is rechargeable via the supplied data cable. Because the source does not provide battery life or charging time figures, no specific runtime or maintenance schedule can be given. The keypad has no stated user-serviceable parts beyond the battery.
