The Hamster 109E model wireless mouse offers a practical solution for users seeking a clutter-free and quieter computing experience. Operating via Bluetooth, it removes the need for cables or USB dongles, simplifying connectivity with compatible laptops and desktop computers. Its defining characteristic is its silent click mechanism, designed to reduce auditory disturbance in shared spaces like offices, libraries, or home offices. Available in three understated colour variants—Yellow Mute, Pink Mute, and Grey Mute—it provides a choice to complement different workstation styles. With modest dimensions of 105mm by 73mm by 41mm, this mouse is notably compact, favouring portability and saving valuable desk real estate.

Features and Construction

This mouse is built around core functionalities prioritising convenience and discretion. Its construction focuses on delivering reliable cursor control without the typical associated noise.

Material and Build

The mouse features a standard plastic outer shell, common for lightweight and durable computer peripherals. The available colour finishes—Yellow Mute, Pink Mute, and Grey Mute—are described with the 'Mute' suffix, indicating a subdued, non-glossy tone rather than a bright or vibrant hue. The internal components facilitate the silent click operation, which distinguishes it from conventional audible-click mice.

Size and Practical Fit

Measuring 105mm in length, 73mm in width, and 41mm in height, the Hamster 109E is a compact mouse. These dimensions make it suitable for users with smaller hands or those who prefer a more controlled, precise grip. Its size also enhances its portability, allowing it to be easily slipped into a laptop bag or briefcase alongside other mobile computing gear.

Uses and Placement

The combination of wireless technology, quiet operation, and a small form factor defines the primary use cases for this peripheral, spanning both professional and personal environments.

Event or Professional Use

In professional settings such as open-plan offices, meeting rooms, or co-working spaces, the mouse's silent click function helps maintain a lower ambient noise level, reducing distractions for colleagues. Its Bluetooth connectivity means it can be quickly paired with a presentation laptop without needing a spare USB port for a receiver, keeping setups tidy and efficient during client meetings or conferences.

Everyday Home Use

For home computing, this mouse is a straightforward choice for general browsing, document work, or casual use. The wireless design eliminates cable clutter on a home desk, and the quiet operation is beneficial in shared living spaces or late-night sessions where audible clicks might disturb others. Its compact size makes it a good fit for smaller desks or alongside a laptop used on a sofa or coffee table.

Benefits and Buying Value

The value of this product lies in its specific combination of wireless convenience, noise reduction, and space-saving design, offering a focused alternative to standard wired or noisy wireless mice.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

As a wireless device with no physical cable to fray or break, its design supports longevity through simplified use. The standard plastic construction is resilient to everyday handling. With no complex care instructions required, maintenance typically involves keeping the optical sensor clean and ensuring the battery (type not specified in source) is replaced as needed.

It does not offer advanced gaming specifications or programmable buttons, instead focusing on core cursor control with added discretion. The choice between Yellow Mute, Pink Mute, and Grey Mute allows for personalisation within a muted colour palette to match your existing tech or workspace decor.
