Features and Construction

This cat scratching mat combines functional design with practical construction elements suitable for regular feline use. The product's 360g weight and specific dimensions create a stable scratching surface whether wall-mounted or placed on floors.

Material and Build

The scratching surface consists of 100% natural sisal fibres that provide the textured consistency cats naturally seek for claw maintenance. This material is described as strong enough to resist sharp claws over extended use periods. The sisal is not treated with harsh chemicals or other substances, making it safe and non-toxic for feline contact. The construction includes a hanging mechanism that enables wall or door mounting, creating vertical scratching opportunities many cats prefer.

Size and Practical Fit

With dimensions of 410mm width and 210mm height, the mat offers substantial scratching area that can accommodate most indoor cats. The 15mm thickness provides adequate depth for claw penetration without excessive bulk. The curved concave shape is designed to fit a cat's body curve during scratching sessions, while the sleeping cat pattern adds visual interest that may attract feline attention. The 360g weight contributes to stability when placed on floors or mounted securely on vertical surfaces.

Uses and Placement

This scratching mat offers multiple placement options to suit different household arrangements and feline preferences. The hanging mechanism allows flexible installation in various indoor locations where cats typically spend time.

Event or Professional Use

While primarily designed for home use, the mat's durable natural sisal construction makes it suitable for environments where multiple cats might use the scratching surface, such as multi-cat households or pet-friendly accommodation. The wall-mounting option allows placement at appropriate heights for different cat sizes and scratching postures. The non-toxic materials ensure safety even with regular feline contact in various settings.

Everyday Home Use

For typical household use, the mat can be mounted on walls in living areas, bedrooms, or near furniture pieces cats frequently target. The white colour option helps the mat blend with various interior colour schemes. Floor placement offers an alternative for cats who prefer horizontal scratching surfaces, with the sleeping cat design serving as both functional scratching area and decorative element. The large surface area accommodates full-body scratching motions common during feline stretching routines.

Benefits and Buying Value

This scratching mat addresses common concerns among cat owners while providing practical feline enrichment. The product's construction and design focus on meeting natural cat behaviours in household environments.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

The natural sisal material offers durability for regular scratching activity, potentially extending the product's useful life. The wall-mounting option helps preserve floor space while providing cats with appropriate vertical scratching opportunities. The design allows the mat to be moved between locations if household arrangements change or if different scratching preferences emerge.
